A glorious winter day today, with crisp air and sunshine. DH and I had lunch in town together, and then I did a quick bit of wool shopping while he tackled the supermarket. Walking to meet him, I looked across at the Imperial Hotel building, and loved the contrast of the decorative arches at the top of the building against the blue sky.

My town has many beautiful colonial-era buildings, and ‘Impies’, as it’s locally known, is one of the most impressive.
