Books by the Bridge Signing Event

Books by the Bridge is an author book signing event which will take place on Saturday, 18th February, at The Crystal Palace at Luna Park on Sydney’s beautiful Harbour.

I’ll be one of more than 80 authors there for the whole day, meeting with readers and signing books. It’s a great opportunity for readers, especially romance readers, to meet with their favourite authors and discover new ones. You’ll find me upstairs with fellow Hachette authors Pamela Hart, Pamela Cook, Maria Lewis, JL Perry, and Sally Thorne.

There are still tickets available – see the website for booking information.

Book sales and Pre-orders

There will be a bookseller at the event selling my Hachette titles. But I’ll also be bringing a limited number of copies of my indie-published Dungirri novella, The North Windto sell at my table. If you’re going to be at the signing, and would like to pre-order a signed copy of The North Wind for the special event price of $10 (pick-up only), please pre-order using the button below by Thursday, 16th February, make sure you fill in the name you want it signed for, and I’ll have your signed copy ready to collect at the event.

The North Wind paperback – buy link

For Australians who’d like a paperback edition of The North Wind, I’ve now set up a Buy Books page where you ca order a copy. However, unfortunately there have been some delays in shipping and I don’t have stock in yet – I hope the first box will arrive before Christmas, but even if they do, it’s very unlikely that I’ll be able to get them to you by the big day. I’ve got another box coming that I hope will arrive by the New Year. As soon as the boxes arrive, I’ll post out orders on a first in, first served basis.

For overseas readers who’d like a paperback edition, you can order them through your regional Amazon store. They’re published as print-on-demand though, so they may take a few days to ship..

The North Wind

I’m delighted that the first of two novellas that I’m writing for my creative practice PhD research is now finished – and published!

Cover - The North Wind

The North Wind is a 39,000 word novella set in Dungirri, the location for three of my books, around Christmas. It does stand alone as a story, but it will particularly appeal to readers who have read my other Dungirri books and love the characters of the town.

In terms of the Dungirri books’ timeline, the story opens a few days after the end of Darkening Skies – but you don’t have to have read that book to enjoy The North Wind!

The North Wind is available worldwide as an ebook through all the major ebook sellers – see the links below. I will also have some print books for sale – however unfortunately I’m unlikely to receive them in time for posting out before Christmas. I should have more details about timing and cost for the print books within a few days – if you’d like one, please comment on this post and I’ll make sure you’re notified when they’re available. For overseas readers, a print version should be available through amazon within a few days.

Here’s the blurb:

It’s Christmas in the outback town of Dungirri, and Angie Butler has returned to her old home, perhaps for the last time. Her life is elsewhere, and the ties that have for decades bound her family to the struggling town and its old hotel may soon be broken.

But the arrival of two strangers in town – Owen Caldwell and his grandfather – along with the hot, dry north wind herald a time of challenge and unexpected change.

Owen has no idea why his grandfather has quietly insisted on this Christmas visit to Dungirri, a town he’s never been to. But the old doctor has a final quest, and as long-held secrets come to light and Owen and Angie use their skills to assist those in need, they both must decide where they belong, and where their future is.
