The lovely colours of these old buildings against the clear blue sky caught my eye when we were walking down King Street in Newtown – one of Sydney’s inner suburbs. At street level, everything was busy, with traffic roaring past and more modern shop displays and cafes, but one level up the grace of a bygone age is still visible.

Bron,
What gorgeous pictures you have on your blog! You’ve brought back some happy memories, too (I was an exchange student in Australia…years ago…and, though I lived in Brisbane, I spent several lovely days in Sydney :).
Thinking of you and sending many good thoughts!!
Thanks, Marilyn! Sydney’s a bit too huge and frantic for me to live in these days – I’m definitely a country girl! – but I do enjoy a visit.
I hope you get back to visit Australia sometime. RWAustralia has a great romance writers’ conference in August each year 🙂 Smaller than RWAmerica National, but heaps of fun and learning!
